Annual Reports
Annual report packet information has been sent out to all local churches, pastors and ministers. Annual Service Reports from the ministers are due in May 31, all other reports are due in June 11.

District BYF Day
District Best Year's Fellowship Day is Saturday, May 17, 9:30am to 1:30pm, at Ramseur First Wesleyan Church Fellowship Hall. Cost is $8.00 per person which includes a lunch meal. Special speaker will be Dr. Leo Record from Kernersville Wesleyan. Theme is Health Fair; What's Good for the Body is Good for the Soul. Silver Liners Choir from Salisbury Trinity will be providing music. Register by May 1 with Jocye Kinney at 336/629-3829.

Growing Pastors Advanced Leadership Training Event
The next Growing Pastors Advanced Leadership Training Event is coming soon. Again this will be a combined event for both Down East and Piedmont Region ministers.  
The event will be Monday, May 19, at Victory Mountain Camp Lodge. It will begin at 9 am. Down East ministers are welcome to come in Sunday evening prior to the event and stay overnight at the camp, if you plan to do so, contact Dennis LaRue at bllarue@juno.com or 919/302-1138. 
Speakers for the event: Dr. Jim Dunn, General Director of Spiritual Formation for The Wesleyan Church and Rev. Phil Stevenson, General Director of Evangelism and Church Growth The Wesleyan Church. They will be speaking on Intentionally Missional Churches, Maturity, Mentoring, Ministry, MIssional.
Lunch will be served in the lodge at 12:noon.  $5 charge for lunch.
There will be an afternoon session after lunch dismissing at 2:30 pm.
Pastors, Assistant Pastors, Youth Pastors, and all other NC East ministers, mark this date and event on your calendar and plan now to be present. It will be a great day of learning, sharing, and fellowship.

 

District Children's Camp now has website

Visit the District children's camp  online at www.ncechildren.com  All dates and registration forms for the upcoming summer childrens camps are available at the web site.


Youth and Children's Camps Shuffle Age Groups
There will be new age groups for this summer's camps at Victory Mountain. They are as follows:

Middle School (6-7,8) June 15-20
High School (9-12) June 22-27

Grades 3,4,5 - July 27-Aug 1

Gradkes K, 1,2 - Aug. 3-7

Chilren's camp registrations have been sent out to all churches. Middle School and High School camp registrations can be found at www.nceyouth.com  All registration forms are available on the camp page of our web site.

 

District Ordination Service, Pastor's Annaul Awards, Retirement Ceremony
The District Ordination Service, Pastor's Annual Awards, and Retirement Ceremony for 2008 has been set for Thursday evening of district conference, July 17 at 6:00 pm.

NC East Ministers Trip to Billy Graham Library
A trip is being planned for NC East Ministers and wives to go to the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC., on May 9. We will travel by bus from the district office, leaving at 9am and returning at 4pm. Approximate cost is $17 per person. Reservations are being accepted on a first come basis. Once the bus is full no more reservations can be accepted.
